This Cookie Policy is part of our Privacy Policy. It explains the cookies and similar technologies ReliableReviews uses on our website, dashboard, and embeddable widget — and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device so they can remember things between page loads or visits. This Policy also covers similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and browser fingerprints used to dedupe helpful votes on the widget.
How we use them
We keep cookies to the minimum we need to run the Service. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share data with third-party advertising networks.
Cookies set by ReliableReviews fall into three categories: strictly necessary, functional, and analytics. We describe each below.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required to authenticate you, keep your session secure, and enable core features like changing your account settings. You cannot turn these off without breaking sign-in and dashboard functionality.
sb-*-auth-tokenSupabase session token. Identifies your signed-in session.Up to 1 yearsb-*-auth-token-code-verifierSecures the OAuth/PKCE login flow when signing in with a third-party provider.Short-lived, during loginNEXT_LOCALERemembers your preferred language for the dashboard and marketing pages.1 yearFunctional cookies
These remember small preferences so the Service works the way you expect.
themeStores your light/dark theme preference, via localStorage.Persistent until clearedsidebar-stateRemembers whether the dashboard sidebar is collapsed or expanded.Persistent until clearedAnalytics and integrity
We log widget impression and click events on our servers so you can see how your reviews are performing. These events are recorded without third-party cookies. We also generate a short-lived browser fingerprint client-side to dedupe helpful votes so the same visitor cannot vote for a review repeatedly.
rr_fpClient-side fingerprint (localStorage value, not a cookie) used to dedupe helpful votes on embedded widgets.Persistent until clearedThird-party cookies
The ReliableReviews dashboard and widget do not set third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The only third parties that may set cookies in connection with the Service are:
- Supabase— authentication and session management. Supabase cookies are set on our own domain.
- OAuth providers(for example Google) — if you choose to sign in with a third-party provider, that provider may set cookies on its own domain during the authentication flow.
Websites that embed the ReliableReviews widget may themselves set their own cookies. Those cookies are governed by the host site’s cookie policy, not ours.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you clear or block cookies from their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and parts of the dashboard from working. For functional and analytics storage, you can clear your browser’s site data for our domain at any time without losing your account.
If you embed the ReliableReviews widget on your own site, you are responsible for surfacing any required cookie banner or consent flow on your site.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and give you reasonable notice where appropriate.
