Answers about pricing, widgets, moderation, SEO, and data ownership.
Pricing and plans
Is ReliableReviews really free?
Yes. There is a single plan — Free Forever — and it includes every feature. No credit card, no trial clock, no usage limits.
Will you add paid tiers later?
If we add paid add-ons one day, the existing free tier will stay intact with everything you see today. We will not paywall features you are already using.
Are there limits on sites, reviews, or team members?
No. Collect as many reviews, spin up as many sites, and invite as many team members as you need.
Collecting reviews
What are my options for collecting reviews?
Four: a public review link you can share anywhere, tokenized email invites, CSV import from other platforms, and manual entry for offline feedback. All four feed the same moderation queue.
How do verified reviewer badges work?
When a customer submits through an invite token you sent them, their review is tied to the invite and shows a verified badge. Public submissions without a token are not marked verified.
Do you send drip reminders automatically?
Yes. Invites without a response get automatic follow-ups at three-day intervals, capped at two reminders so you never come across as spammy.
Can my customers upload photos with their review?
Up to three photos per review (JPG, PNG, or WebP, 5MB each), plus an optional avatar with a round crop UI. Gravatar is auto-detected from their email.
Moderation and authenticity
Do reviews go public automatically?
No. Every new review lands in a pending queue and stays there until you approve it. You can set auto-publish rules by rating if you trust the signal.
How do you prevent fake reviews?
Honeypot fields block bots, rate limits block scripted spam, and helpful votes are deduped by fingerprint so one person cannot stuff the ballot. You also control auto-hold rules for low ratings and flag keywords.
Can I edit or delete a review?
You can hide, feature, or delete any review on your sites. We log the moderation actions so your team has an audit trail.
Embedding and the widget
How do I embed the widget on my site?
Copy a single script tag from the dashboard and paste it anywhere. Change the data-layout attribute to pick between grid, list, carousel, featured, or badge.
Does the widget work on any stack?
Yes. It is vanilla JavaScript in a shadow DOM, under 10KB gzipped, with no framework dependencies. Works on plain HTML, WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Next.js, and everything in between.
Will the widget slow down my page?
It loads async so it never blocks rendering, and the API response is cached on the edge for 60 seconds with 300-second stale-while-revalidate. You will not feel it.
Does the widget affect my SEO?
Positively. The widget emits JSON-LD Review schema into the host page, and your public review page ships with full Organization, AggregateRating, and Review structured data so Google can show rich results.
Branding and customization
Can I match the widget to my brand?
Yes. Set a primary color in your site settings or override per-embed with data-color. The widget also inherits your host page typography.
Can I use my own logo and tagline?
Yes. Upload a logo (with a round crop UI), set a tagline, and choose a custom slug for your public review page.
Is the "Powered by ReliableReviews" footer removable?
Not currently. It is a small, tasteful attribution that helps us stay free. If you have a specific reason you need it hidden, email us.
Data and privacy
Do I own my reviews?
Yes. You can export them to CSV any time from the dashboard. No vendor lock-in, no hostage data.
Is my data secure?
We use row-level security on every table, so even a bug in our code cannot leak data across accounts. Reviewer emails are never displayed publicly.
Are you GDPR-friendly?
Reviewers can request deletion via your team, and the dashboard lets owners remove any review and associated personal data on request.
